Waiting On A Couch...

Waiting on a couch to be delivered ... just surfing the net and came across this quote.

Lately as I have been dreading the thought of being 25 and single God has been speaking to me about different things.

God is really stirring in me to continue to find myself in him. Seek his face more... fall  more in love with Him. 

It's so often said by married people:: "When I wasn't looking I met my man, he kinda just took me by surprise."

Waiting to be surprised!

I read this and found it thought provoking. Creativity inspires creativity. I know in my life if I see something being created or someone making something (whether it's sewing, painting etc...) it sparks something in me to do the same. Maybe it's just because that is what "makes me tick" but I think in everybody there is creativity just waiting to flourish.

The creator of the universe// GOD// was creative. Flip, you just need to check out the sky, stars, sun, moon , trees , animals and even us to see his creativity in abundance.

Iron sharpens iron... it really does when you are talking about people either making or breaking the people around them. I felt convicted about the things I sometimes say that aren't sharpening someone and shaping their future, but they are making them dull and blunt. God, help me to be someone that sharpens and encourages people around me!!!

We do need each other. I am so grateful for incredible family and amazing friends that I can do "life" with. They make it more worthwhile... Living for God first and foremost is numero uno priority but, it's also nice to know that there are people around you spurring you on and wanting you to be all that you can be - pushing you to be the best version of you!

Happy Australia Day! A day of all things Vegemite, meat pies, stubby shorts, beer, mullets and thongs. It's so awesome to live in a country where you can live in freedom, without fear and everyone gets a "fair go". Today I felt hungry and there wasn't anything in the house, I was starving (for lack of a better word). It got me thinking, while I am existing in this "land of the free" how could I really be feeling starved?! Turned on the TV and was moved to pray for the people of Haiti, what a terrible thing that has taken place there. Who is the person starving the most ... powerful! 

Here Goes...

I thought I would give this "blogging" thing a go. In 2010 I want to fall more in love with Jesus and everything He has for my life. If figure if I blog and write it all down...I will look back on the journey, perhaps in awe of his constant goodness, kindness, love, mercy and grace - in it all. I hope that on reading some humble musings from this less than perfect gal, you will be inspired. Let's journey this beautiful chaos together.
