Hebrews 6:11 {NKJ} 11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
16.4.11
YES! YES! YES! I want to inherit my promises...
Hebrews 6:11 {The Message}11 And now I want each of you to extend that same intensity toward a full-bodied hope, and keep at it till the finish.12 Don't drag your feet. Be like those who stay the course with committed faith and then get everything promised to them.
James 2:26
This scripture has been churning deep within my heart lately. As I am faced with more and more situations or rather, opportunities to increase in my faith or sometimes even put my faith back in God.
Lately my response is : "God! Why would you allow this to happen?" or "God, why did you let me go through that?"
His response: "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." -James 2:26
It's merely not enough to say "God I trust you" or "God I have faith to believe that you can..." He requires us to action that faith and often He will allow us to go through something to see if we can handle more.
When things seem to be going our way and we can believe by faith for things, it's all good. The distance between us and God is small beacause we are right on His heels trying to follow and catch everything He has for us. But, when things don't seem to go our way or they aren't necessarily what we would have expected/imagined, we allow our faith to waiver and the distance between us and God to increase. Allowing feelings, impatience, anger, bitterness and other things to take up residence in the gap.
When God moves it's likely to take you by surprise and not be EXACTLY how you envisaged it to happen. The key, put your faith in HIM and ACT. If He requires you to do something, DO IT!Cape Diem! {cease the day/moment} Step OUT of the boat! He knows EXACTLY how it needs to happen... He's the Master Planner. It may seem disappointing, like God is not in the situation or circumstance and sometimes present itself in a slightly different packaging to how you would have thought it would be. However, God is still God and HIS plan for your life is greater than you could ever ask, imagine or believe. For HIS glory!
Ephesians 3:20- Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Let Me Introduce You...
Let me introduce you to my kids. I have two beautiful children that I have the privilege to sponsor. It's such and honour to be a part of their lives. I just LOVE them.
Matthew 18:2"And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them,And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all].Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives and accepts and welcomes one little child like this for My sake and in My name receives and accepts and welcomes Me.But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better (more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea."
It's so lovely that you can make such a difference from, quite literally, the other side of the world. A small sacrifice for me that brings life to someone else, what a joy! I'm in awe of a GREAT God who orchestrates things, moves hearts, hands and changes lives. I have the privilege of observing from a far, their very special journeys, growing into the Man and Woman of God that they are called to be.
Jenny is pretty special. I sponsored Jenny when she was 3 and I was just 17. It was at Planet Shakers and after watching an incredibly moving video on child sponsorship I was like... RIGHT! That's it! I am changing the world. Let's start with a little girl from the Philippines!

Saturday, Sniffles & Sewing
What a time to get it! Seriously!!!! It could have been so kind as to even wait till Saturday was over. Being that this yucky, contagious thing is something I do not want to share (especially with all the children)... I stayed home. : (
Felling incredibly bummed, REALLY quite sad and put out by the whole thing , I was intent on this wretched thing NOT getting the better of me.
SO...
1. I got up!
2. Cleaned my room. Sorted out a bunch of stuff that was lonnnnnng overdue.
3. Cleaned out the car of things accumulated over time. (Ooops I just remembered I didn't get to the growing pile of chewy wrappers under the car mat... Ashamed! It's getting real bad.Next weekend?)
4. Cleaned the house. Mum! You are welcome!!!! haha
AND...
5. Sewed some more bunnies.
All in all (despite blowing my nose a bazillion times and missing out on the party of the year) today was rather... productive.
Saturday, Sniffles & Sewing. YEP! PROductive!
